Radar-Based Speed Measurement of Sport Projectiles
Bezděk, David ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with a proposal and implementation of application, that extracts speed information of sport projectiles from radar data. Firstly, there is description of radar, Doppler's effect and especially continuous-wave radar. Then the bachelor’s thesis continues with signal processing issues, after which speed can be calculated. In next part there is a describtion of collecting real data and their evaluation. In the last part there is a summary of the thesis, eventual use of the application and it's possible extensions.
Speed Measuring of Vehicles Using Radar
Novák, Adrián ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the process of creating a desktop application that processes radar data, from which it detects vehicles, their speed, and direction in an appropriate manner. The core of the application uses a Fourier transformation to transform radar data from time to a frequency domain. This frequency spectrum is used to get the important informationfor the calculation of vehicle speed, followed by a correction of the calculation by the cosine factor. The result of this thesis is a desktop application, which allows its user to obtain information from radar data about the detected vehicle and subsequently, to determine its speed.
